Dec.12.2020 Site Updates
posted Saturday Dec.12.2020 06:52 am

After a VERY loooooooong period of inactivity I am finally fixing and filling AMProSoft.com and restoring it back to something that could actually be useful and current.

I started off just wanting to construct a database for my videos so that all of my websites could auto update when I release a new video. That went well enough that I'm going to keep going.

Between 2010 and 2013 I added a bunch of work and backdated it. For the last 7 years I have been releasing music and videos and art so I will be adding it onto AMProSoft and backdating it again.

Sorry for just dumping 5 to 10 years of work on this website at a time but that's how life is lookin. Yes, I did just apologize to a website.

Jan.28.2013 Site Update

So this is the first time I've ever been able to make a site update post without having to go into the archives and log into the old forum and make the update as a post. It's very nice to have one uniform way of adding content now.

Earlier today I tracked down and fixed several bugs in the content viewer. I also crafted some missing code so now individual site updates from the past can be viewed.

I've also begun a redesign of the home page and did some behind the scenes work on AMProLand. Might have something to show soon with both of those projects.

That's it for now.
Speaking of Javascript

two minor (but very nice) site upgrades are

* I figured out how to use Javascript to maximize the viewer window for playing videos. I have no idea how it will look on a super high resolution wide screen monitor, but it looks pretty good on my monitor.

* I have managed to start assembling open graph tags on most of the content. So any system that uses opengraph (mostly facebook for now) can display content properly when I share content from the website.

Now I'm in the process of extricating the last of the Simple Machines Forum from the info section of the current website. That is the last bit of code that I haven't written myself in use on the website so now the new version of the website will be all my code.

till next update,
-Alex
